To everyone new here, welcome. I’m Elizabeth, the writer of The Delicious Bits Dispatch, a weekly missive for the curious, blending discovery, reflection, and musings, always wrapped up with a seasonal recipe worth lingering over.
Pour a drink, press play, and enjoy!
On Friday, August 22, I went LIVE for the first time with
of Sharing Kitchens Live. There were cocktails, conversation, and plenty of fun!If you were there, thank you for joining us—I’d love to hear what you thought! And if you missed it, now’s your chance to catch the replay.
I shared what to look for when you’re buying Prosecco—so you know you’re getting a great bubbly that can stand on its own or play well in a cocktail—and we served up three cocktails to sip and savour.
Jenn and I made one of my favourite go-to entertaining standbys, Smoked Trout Dip, and I demonstrated how to make the equally easy Cracker for a Crowd. You’ll want to put these on repeat for their ease and deliciousness.
We also talked about the art of hospitality—the lost charm of the perfect bar snack, pantry staples to keep on hand, and how to make guests feel special (hint: it starts with you being relaxed).
The whole vibe: entertaining that’s fun, unfussy, and totally doable — but still leaves your guests thinking, “Wow, what a fun evening!”
Thank you for joining me in the kitchen for this first live adventure — whether you tuned in real time or are catching it now. I’ll be back in your inbox on Sunday with the weekly The Delicious Bits Dispatch. Until then, may your weekend be filled with good food, good company, and a little sparkle in your glass.
