Tarragon has been having a moment at our house— can’t wait to try it this way! Loads of it in the have made their way into various summer dishes including my BF’s new crowd-pleasing dessert from an Ottolenghi NYT post— roasted nectarine mess with ricotta cream, pistachio dukah… TARRAGON and FRUIT! Who knew?
Tomato season at last, I'm delighted for you Elizabeth. I so enjoyed the farmers market stroll with you. It sounds like a caring and supportive community you live in. I have a similar relationship with the farmers I buy my produce from, although I've never asked, I doubt they have a website I could visit. I do know that Mr Muscat has been too busy to get the seeds for cavolo nero in the ground, but he promises he will do it this week. Your tomato and strawberry salad looks so delicious, I will be making it this week as I have just been gifted a new tarragon plant this morning. Your wine pairing looks so rich for a rose, I'd love to taste it.
Lisa, wouldn’t it to be lovely to share a bottle together one day? 💕
We really are blessed with an amazing community of farmers. Ontario, the province where we live, is an agricultural breadbasket, and we benefit from the tremendous amount of labour our local famers pour into their work every day. Especially as we truly are a four season climate!
How wonderful to have that locally, sounds like a perfect market! Lovely salad as well!
