You read this so beautifully Elizabeth, but reading it again is just as lovely. I feel like just from the two readings you have done I am starting to get to know not just you, but also your lovely warm writing style, inviting discovery, noticing details in the everyday. And many thanks for linking to Mark and my piece.
Beautiful writing, Elizabeth - I loved listening to you read this. And every other piece, for that matter! It was great to re-read with those stunning images, too.
Looking forward to seeing what pours out of you in the next session 😊
What an absolutely beautiful read! I was also in the camp of not liking early mornings when younger but love them now. You said this in a way that resonated with me - and I am SO impressed you did it in an hour! I don't know if I could write as eloquently in that time frame! Plus, gorgeous photos. Toronto is on my list of places to visit!
This is so lovely Elizabeth, I really enjoyed it when you read it out. Gorgeous photos too. I think I shall be flirty and 40 in a floral dress today. 👗❤️
Elizabeth, your writing is like listening to beautiful music. I read, and sometimes reread, passages just to savour them, like a fine wine sipping it slowly to prolong the moment.
Thanks Kerry—this one just flowed! The previous one I did for this group prompt was 200 words shorter. I think it’s because condo living has made me obsessed with sunrises, sunsets and the moon 💕
Well put Elizabeth. I too strain for the flit of red in the dim morning, sitting on my deck, when I greet the dawn. I am far more likely to wake a bit later but on those few occasions I too feel I’ve “stolen” time. 💗. Beautiful my friend.
Gorgeous Elizabeth--I'm a lark and the poetry of rising before everyone else stirs is always a gift to me. And writing prompts, especially in a timed setting, is heart-clutching, but then I'm always surprised at what flows out. Thank you for sharing your & others' musings.
I'm glad to have another early bird in my circle 💕 You would enjoy the group Lisa. It's my first experience with a writing group and I both dread and love the timed prompts!
I’ve been part of writing groups a few times—and find the timed writing a challenge but great jumpstart. BUT I hate reading what I write to a group before I have a chance to really internalize/edit/polish (to some degree—nothing is ever truly polished). And honestly it makes me a little anxious listening to others, I think because I imagine their anxiousness over sharing! I need that quiet, morning time.
I appreciated getting to read this after listening to it. It really is beautiful with it's poetic cadence. I'm almost tempted to try to get up earlier tomorrow 😜
It was a privilege to listen to you read this earlier this week Elisabeth. And your photographs are as rich and colourful as your writing. Thank you for sharing.
Caroline thank you for the kind words! Some days I go a bit bonkers with photographing the sky...the images never seem to capture what I'm seeing IRL😊. There's a big golden orb coming up in the sky right now as I write this--lovely!
This is pure poetry, Elizabeth. Just wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Giovanna! I really appreciate your kind words 💕

Flowing and resonant!

Thank you dear Shell! A flirty floral dress is definitely your style! And spring is here…what better time to wear one? 🌸💕

Thank you dear friend. So looking forward to seeing you tonight! 💕
Hi Elizabeth. Reading your beautifully written article which strangely brought tears to my eyes. Must be getting old! Loved it. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 for sharing
Liloo—you will never get old! Sending you a big hug 💕
Very inspiring to hear you read Elizabeth! I love the seemingly effortless poetry of your words, so full of character.
Thanks so much Bryde! It’s such a good and supportive group to part of! 💕
Lovely living life through your eyes, Elizabeth.
Thank you Linda 💕
Wow, what a beautiful piece and an amazing group to be a part of. I can’t believe you wrote this in an hour!! I’m in awe. 🤯♥️

Yes, your view seems like the perfect inspiration! 🙌

Stolen time is a great way to say it! 💕

Ha! My mother would be shocked at what an early bird I've become. She definitely saw sleeping in late as a character flaw!😊
I really loved your piece Kalee...it was so reflective of the themes you've been exploring in your posts. Please share it so I can💕
Funny how we ever so slowly embody our mothers isn't it?
I will share mine... I'm sitting on it for a week as suggested to see what else comes up with it!
