A thoughtful post, Elizabeth. The power of connections cannot be highlighted enough. When I go to India, esp in rural areas, I still see people hanging out in central squares or outside someone’s home chitchatting, trading gossip or events of the day. It’s reassuring to see that. I hope you get some relief from your pain,
Thank you, Annada! It’s the same in so many parts of the world, isn’t it? Not only are people gathering in the "central square" — the way the Romans once gathered in the forum — but they’re doing it as part of a naturally flowing community. We have fewer opportunities for that here, which is why I treasure things like our weekly farmers’ market so much. I know the vendors, the other customers; there’s always live music, children dancing. It fills my cup every single time.
This has been my experience, moving through life with rheumatoid arthritis. I feel so much better after spending time with people who fill me up. So, we should get together for another dinner soon, yes?
Great topic on human connection. It’s beneficial to everyone, so powerful, both physically and mentally. Thank you for reminding us.
I love this because it’s so true. Let’s coin it the “APP” approach…Attitude, People, Participation
So long as it gets me to super-ager status, I'm game to call it anything! 💕
I don’t just enjoy your company, I enjoy your writing too ♥️
So happy to have you as a reader here, dear friend 😙

Thank you Barb! Sending you a DM--we will be in Stratford this Thursday and were just talking about staying for dinner after the matinee...💕
